The Bookworm Presents: Style Me Vintage Tea Parties

If you hadn't already figured out I love a tea party especially a vintage styled one so when I saw the new book in the Style Me Vintage series - tea parties I just had to order a copy. Style Me Vintage Tea Parties is written by Betty Blythe (or Lulu Gwynne) of Betty Blythe Vintage Tea Rooms in west London.

The book contains a useful section on 'How to organise a successful party' with a 'party planning essential checklist and many other helpful pointers. The parties are then split into categories namely Victorian tea party,  Edwardian Breakfast, 1920's Speakeasy, 1930's Cocktail party, 1940's Picnic and 1950's Street Party each with its own menu and recipes including some fabulous cocktail recipes. There are helpful hints on dress, decorations and entertainment in each section even down to music to play. Essentially everything you need to host a fabulous tea party.
