How to Make an Obi Belt

I thought I'd share with you how to make an obi belt like the one I wore in my outfit for the Chinese New Year Markets. Mine was knocked up in a matter of minutes the night before so was a little rough around the edges but here is a tutorial that shows you a much more polished version:

You will need:
♥ A sewing machine
♥ Fabric - mine was an oriental fan print from a section at Spotlight
♥ Scissors
♥ A marker pen
♥ Tape measure
♥ Thread
♥ Ribbon for the ties
