Audrey Hepburn Week - Audrey's Movies

Today is Movie day of Audrey Hepburn week so I will be posting about some of Audrey's best movies.

Audrey Hepburn was in 26 movies over the course of her  acting career. Her first role was as a  hotel receptionist in One Wild Oat in 1951 and her last was as Hap in Always in 1989. Audrey's break to fame came in the 1953 movie Roman Holiday when she played Princess Ann. After filming, Gregory Peck informed the producers that, as Audrey Hepburn was certainly going to win an Oscar (for this, her first major role), they had better put her name above the title. They did and she did.

Audrey Hepburn's most iconic role was as Holly Golightly in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. Audrey was nominated for an Oscar in the role but missed out to Sophia Loren who won for her role in Two Women.

  1. As you might be able to tell by my username...I am a wee bit obsessed with Miss Hepburn (I also have a daughter named Audrey). The first Audrey movie I saw was Funny Face and it is still right up there as a favourite, but my all time favourite would have to be Sabrina....followed by Love in the Afternoon. Love her so much.

    1. Aww I love that name for a little girl! The first Audrey movie I saw was Breakfast at Tiffany's (as with most people probably) but I think my favourite is probably Roman Holiday. It's a hard call though! x
