La Soiree

Last night the Hubby and I headed to the Opera House to see La Soiree. I wanted to see La Soiree last January when they were in Sydney but could not make it so was happy when we got tickets to this years event and I have to say the show definitely did not disappoint!

The show kicked off with a fabulous high energy performance by the Djuki Mala (The Chooky Dancers). After Miss Behave, one of the last surviving female sword swallowers performed a quick skit involving a pair of scissors and then there was a comic speech from the Queen (Gerry Connolly). The evening continued with fabulous hula hoop and skipping acts from Jess Love, a stunning aerial act from Ryan McCarthy, an awesome disappearing hanky burlesque act Ursula Martinez, bawdy cabaret ballads from Yana Alana, a stunningly sexy aerial cube act from Desmarais and Katharine Arnold and much much more besides.

La Soiree is a circus for adults, part cabaret club, part circus, part burlesque and a whole lot of fun! The Hubby and I had a fabulous night and will definitely go again if the show comes back to Sydney next year.

La Soiree is on at the Opera House until mid March so don't miss your chance to see this fabulously entertaining show. Tickets are available here.
