Sydney Firewater

The hubby and I rugged up and headed into the city last night to take a peek at the Macquarie Visions, part of the Vivid Sydney Festival. We started at St Marys Cathedral and followed the trail along Macquarie St taking in Hyde Park Barracks, Parliament House, the State Library of NSW, The Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the stunning Opera House.
We then headed down to Campbell's Cove for the Rocks Fire Water show. The show tells the story of the voyage of the Sydney Cove tall ship sent from Calcutta in 1797 to Sydney by the Merchant Robert Campbell. Told from the perspective of a fictitious 11 year old Indian-Australian girl the show is ablaze with beautiful lights and colourful smoke that kept us enthralled.

After taking in the show we headed further into the Rocks to the Night Markets to warm ourselves with a glass of mulled wine.

Fireater and the Night markets are on for the next two nights with the Firewater shows starting at 6.15, 7.15 and 8.15 and the markets running from 6.30.
Macquarie Visions is on until 20th June
