34B's 7th Birthday and Last Ever Show!

On Friday night we headed into the city to Q Bar to watch 34B's 7th Birthday and Last Ever show. We had never seen any of the 34b burlesque shows before but the bill was full of Australia's best burlesque talent so we had to go check it out. We headed into Q Bar which is more like the daggy dive bars that I spent my student days at than a burlesque venue. The girls definitely outshone their dingy suroundings!

The show was brilliantly compared by MC Francois Buble – Maître des Cérémonies and crooner exceptionne who began the evening Gangnam style (with a little help from Memphis Mae and Bella Louche and eventually the whole cast) before introducing the stunning ??? whose boots certainly weren't made for walking, next to the stage was Lola the Vamp 34B's founder who sizzled as she shook her stuff! Lauren LaRouge hit the stage next with a hot latex clad act and the first half was rounded off with a stunningly beautiful black swan like act from Lucille Spielfuchs where she revealed what she keeps under her skirt much to the shock of the audience. The hubby and I giggled in anticipation of the audiences faces as we had seen this act before at the Miss Burlesque Australia pageant.

After a break in which we were entertained by the fabulous go-go dancing of Lulu, the amazing pole skills of Emma Hoy and checked out the peel newcomers in the second room Lulu hit the stage as a smoking biker chick who showed how she was born to be wild! And after a sultry act from Danica Lee the stunning glamazon Holly JaDoll lit up the stage with a awesome fan act after which the brilliant Cherry Lush hit the stage with a hilarious angry birds inspired act. Next up was Heidi Hoops who showed us how to do the locomotion whilst wowing us with her hoop skills. The amazing Tasia rounded off the second half with a stunning samurai inspired act.

Unfortunately we had to leave before the final half (or third as it were!) but we still had a fabulous night and it seems a shame to see another burlesque venue in Sydney close down, especially one that showcases such amazing burlesque talent!
