The Dark Knight continues the story eight years after the end of The Dark Knight. Gotham City is crime free and Batman has gone into retirement after his reputation was tarnished for taking the rap for Harvey Dents crimes. Bruce Wayne has become a recluse living in one wing of Wayne Manor.
However, a new evil force named Bane has arrived in Gotham and aims to take over the city and expose the truth behind who Harvey Dent really was. Bane takes over the city forcing Batman to come out of retirement. But his allies are few and far between. An elusive jewel thief by the name of Selena Kyle could be the key to stopping Bane - but whose side is she on?
