The Victor and The Mature Vintage Clothing Sale

On Saturday the Purple Fairy and I took a drive over to Summer Hill to check out Victor and the Mature's vintage clothing sale. They were selling off the remaining stock of Kookaburra Kiosk and some of their own selected pieces. The sale had been going on for the 3 weekends prior and this being the last weekend many items were greatly reduced in price.

There were so many stunning items for sale including an amazing ostrich feather fan and an Edwardian wax flower bridal headpiece. Sadly I was on a limited budget so could not snap up all the amazing treasures but I did come home with these gorgeous brooches for $5 each. They have a few of the rhinestones missing but the stones are in the bags so I just need to do a quick repair job on them.
I also noticed this gorgeous velvet purse as I was walking out the door so went back in to snap it up for the bargain price of $25. It's actually a deeper read than it appears in these pictures but my camera flash has washed it out a little.
After our vintage bargain shopping we stop for a spot of lunch and then went to check out the rest of Summer Hill. I've lived in Sydney for almost 5 years but as yet had not visited Summer Hill. It is a very cute suburb with a definite village feel to it.
We stopped by the local op shop for more bargain hunting and I spotted this cute little bag for just $2 so that also came home with me!

You can read more about the vintage clothing sale over on Tim and Jesse's blog Like Johnny and June (they visited the weekend before me and snapped up some goodies!)
