Rock n Roll Markets - Sunday 7th April

This Sunday is the Rock N Roll Markets at Manning Bar & Manning House at the University of Sydney.


The Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market is the Ultimate Subculture Market with a multitude of amazing live music culture related stalls extending over 3 levels indoors and outdoors. The market features Rock ‘n’ Roll, Alternative and Vintage Fashion for men, women and children, Jewellery,  Accessories, Record's, CD's, DVDs , Books, Art, Collectables, Food stalls, children’s activities, live music, DJs, a classic vehicle display, the very popular Tiki Bar Courtyard (featuring Corona Beer, Sailor Jerry Rum, international food, DJs) and loads more.

A massive entertainment line-up features Brothers Grim & the Blue Murders with their unique morphing of the delta-blues finger-styling’s of Bukka White delivered with the boogie of Gene Vincent, Martin Cilia - Australia’s king of surf guitar (from the Atlantics), Paulie Bignell & the Thornbury Two - well known around Australia for his work with the Detonators, Paulie presents a unique blend of Rock’n'Roll, Blues, Rockabilly and Country. Jordan C. Thomas Band - You'll find Jordan in his element slaving over a big old 1954 Gibson ES 150 in front of his 6 piece band (guitar, three horns, double bass and drums) it’s cool it’s old school and it’s happening right now! With their blend of Rockabilly, Jump Swing and more they will have you on your toes. With DJs Rockin’ Marc Rondeau returning from the grave with his rare 50s vinyl collection and the Crimplenes with their awesome 60s vinyl collection, both appearing on the top floor. The Tiki Bar Courtyard features DJs Andy Travers (ex the Tender Trap) and the Rockabilly Rhino (Liquored up and Lacquered Down), The Rockabilly Rhino also tag teams with Wolfman Dan to MC the day.
