Bowral Day Trip

Yesterday the hubby and I hopped in the car and drove down the coast to Bowral for a day trip. We headed off a little later than planed so didn't get to Bowral until lunch time so our first stop was for a spot of tea and a slice of cake at the The Gumnut Patisserie. The Gumnut has won many awards for their products and I can certainly attest that their carrot cake was absolutely delicious. We then took a wander down to Corbett Gardens but unfortunately it was being remodeled and was just a building site!
Next we took a wander through Springetts Arcade stopping by the many gift and homewares shops on the lookout for a tea cosy for the Purple Fairy. The kindly shop owner of Gingermoon recommended Bowral Crafts Unlimited a fantastic little shop run by a gaggle of lovely old ladies who's profits from the items they make goes to the local hospital. We found a perfect purple tea cosy for the Purple Fairy and the hubby picked up a pair of gloves as it was decidedly nippy in Bowral.

We meandered through a number of other shops before I popped into the local Target on the off chance that they might have the undies to match the Von Follies Red Rose Lace Balconette Bra that I ordered online and as luck would have it they were one of two Von Follies items left in the store!
Next stop was Dirty Jane's Emporium to check out all the vintage goodies on offer. I would recommend Dirty Jane's to any vintage lover. The market section had some fantastic vintage homewares!
After this we hopped back in the car to drive over to Fitzroy Fall to check out the waterfall. By this time the weather had turned a little grey and drizzling so we took a quick wander down to the falls to grab a few snaps and then hopped back in the car and headed on back to Sydney as we had tickets to World War Z.
Stick around for my review of the movie!
